The lack of students' ability and involvement in understanding learning materials encourages the need for innovation in the use of learning media. This study was conducted on 15 fifth grade students of SDN Sidodadi 1, Blitar Regency, with the aim of increasing student engagement in the learning process. The method used is research and development with the Borg & Gall model which is simplified into seven stages: (1) identifying potential and problems, (2) collecting data, (3) designing products, (4) validating designs, (5) revising designs based on expert input, (6) testing products, and (7) perfecting products. The results of the study showed that Augmented Reality (AR) technology-based learning videos were categorized as “Very Valid”, with an assessment from media experts of 96% and from material experts of 84%. Student engagement reached an average of 76% which was classified as “Strong”, with several students in the “Very Strong” category. The measurable aspects of engagement include cognitive dimensions (understanding and focus), affective (interest and motivation), and behavior (active participation). These findings indicate that AR-based learning media can improve the quality of learning interactively and meaningfully.
